| Why is your banner rotation service free? Rotating your banner through RotoLink is absolutely free as long as you place RotoLink's banner tag code anywhere on the front page of your website and allow RotoLink to display RotoLink member and sponsor ads on your site. Our sponsors help keep the RotoLink service free! If you have another page which is at least as busy as your front page, and this can be verified, RotoLink will allow the required tag code to be placed on such a page instead. What do you mean by "unlimited rotation"? RotoLink does not set time, exposure, or click-through limits except for sponsor ads. Your banner will always be in rotation as long as you are exposing sponsor and RotoLink member ads through your site. Occasionally, at the discretion of RotoLink, all members may receive additional bonus credits as a means to maintain a certain level of traffic activity across the exchange. All new members automatically receive 5,000 start up credits upon joining. How do I gain credits? You gain credits on the basis of a 1 to 1 ratio! This means that everytime a sponsor's or other member's banner is displayed to a visitor viewing your site, you gain 1 full credit. 1 credit is worth 1 exposure of your banner on another member's site. For example, if sponsor or member banners were displayed 10 times on your site, then you would have earned exactly 10 exposures for your banner! How does the combined banner and text link exchange program work? As with any banner exchange, your banner will be coded and rotated throughout the exchange. The special banner code you place on your page also allows the rotation of your own special "button bar" or graphic box located just below the banner. The rotation of the button bar is random and independent of the banner rotation program, which means your website is advertised on two other websites at one time! When a vistor clicks on your button bar, your page opens in a new window along with the RotoLink Banner Surf panel (see below). Rotation of your button bar is not dependent on credit earnings and, therefore, rotation is constant and unlimited. (Combined banner and button bar program is only applicable to the 468 x 60 banner program.) What is the "banner surf" program and how will it benefit me? As of March 2000, RotoLink has launched a new program called RotoLink Banner Surf which allows visitors to conveniently surf RotoLink member sites via banners displayed through a surf control panel. The surf control panel is linked to a button bar located on all member websites. Since all RotoLink member banners are automatically rotated through the banner surf program free, you gain extra exposure with no additional cost or fuss. You can expect additional traffic from this new program as the banner surf panel is one of the key features of the RotoLink Banner Exchange and is, therefore, heavily promoted. For example, the page containing the RotoLink Banner Surf panel is rotated through the ClickThru Network at no cost to you. (Banner Surf program only applicable to 468 x 60 banner program.) What do you mean by additional exposure through Directory and Link Pages? Your banner will be rotated for free in the high traffic RotoLink Directory and Banner Surf program. Traffic through Add- Your- Link pages is also directed to the Directory via a special link button. As an additional free promotional feature, members are encouraged to list their websites in the busy RotoLink Directory in an appropriate category. As a RotoLink client, you can expect the best free promotional service available. As RotoLink grows, you will grow. How do I COPY and PASTE the banner tag code into my page? To copy, point your mouse cursor at the beginning of the banner tag code. Next, left click your mouse and hold down as you drag the cursor over the text until you reach the end of the code (as you drag, text will be highlighted). Release the left button and click the right button. From the pop up menu, click on copy (code is now saved in your browser). To paste into your page, open the html text for the page and point the mouse cursor where you want banners to appear (within the tags) and right click your mouse. From the menu, click on paste. The code will appear where you are pointing. How do I edit my ad account and change my banner? Just click on "member log in" on RotoLink home page to access log in page. Enter your name and password to access your personal ad account where you can edit your account information, check your stats, and upload or supply the URL for a new banner. You will find all instructions to do so on your personal ad account pages. What size should my banner be? Your banner can not exceed 12,000 kb and must be 468 x 60 pixels. Button banners must be under 6,000kb and 88 x 31 pixels. Only gif and jpg formats are accepted. Animated banners are welcome. |   Random Link   |
